Advisory Board

The National Research Advisory Board for the MJP: The National Research Advisory Board for the Misdemeanor Justice Project (MJP) brings together thought leaders in the area of policing, prosecution, court processing, corrections, victimization, and police-community relationships. The broad goals of the National Research Advisory Board is to establish a research agenda focused on better understanding the phenomenon surrounding the enforcement of low-level offenses including prevalence, outcomes, and utility. The Advisory Board has identified gaps in knowledge at the front end of the criminal justice system and has commissioned papers from scholars and practitioners to examine these gaps. The National Research Advisory Board for MJP provides an opportunity to grow a network of scholars and practitioners invested in further exploring and understanding low-level crimes and system responses, in particular, at the front end of the criminal justice system.
