Therese Todd is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Department at John Jay College. In 2016, she graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Latin honors. During her undergraduate career she worked as a Research Assistant for the Center for Policing Equity and an addiction treatment center. Through these experiences she became interested in disparities within the criminal justice system, specifically as they pertain to persons with mental illness. At the Misdemeanor Justice Project she hopes to contribute to research which will have a positive impact on policy reformation within the criminal justice system.
