James Mitchell is a Lieutenant with the Prince George’s County Police Department and has served for over 16 years. He currently serves as the assistant commander of the Information Technology Division. Previously he worked on a public corruption task force with Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Baltimore field division. He has an extensive background in criminal investigations which include drug, gang, robbery and auto theft specialties. He graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2000 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Intelligence Management from University of Maryland University College. In his current role, he is the primary point of contact for historical crime data for the Prince George’s County Police Department.
